I am Melissa Sciera, eclectic artist and amateur world observer. I have made and studied art since I first held a pencil knowing it was my life's work. Art is how I interpret the world and my place in it.

Melissa attended the Rochester Institute of Technology, School for American Crafts receiving both her Bachelor's and Master's of Art in Jewelry and Metalsmithing with an emphasis on drawing. She has been a jewelry designer in Albuquerque, New Mexico and Tucson, Arizona and currently resides in Buffalo, New York where she operates a professional art studio and custom jewelry business. Melissa also teaches drawing and design to inner city youth at the local community college through a program sponsored by Bill Gates.
