After graduating from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science degree in motion picture production and literature, Mike accepted an internship with Robert Redford's Sundance Institute. For the next three years, Mike administered the prestigious Screenwriter and Filmmaker labs at Sundance, served as Festival Press Screening Manager, and became an active Sundance affiliate.

During this same period while freelance writing & directing, Mike earned himself an ADDY Award in Commercial Television.

In the late nineties, Mike teamed up with Jason Marchi and ignited the engines that rocketed New Century Writer Awards¨ into orbit. As Managing Director, he helped chart the course of NCWA, developed alliances and solicited support from top industry names such as: Francis Ford Coppola, Ray Bradbury, Alice Arlen, SONY Pictures Entertainment, and Fox Searchlight Pictures. The NCWA has produced many careers domestically as well as internationally.

Currently, Mike consults for New Century from Los Angeles, where he navigates his company, Conduit Pictures, through the industry channels. With Conduit Pictures, he manages feature productions, supervises production budgets, raises financing and orchestrates the distribution of pictures for theatrical and ancillary markets including DVD sales as sales rep. Conduit Pictures' clients include: OÕHara/Klein Ventures, Capture Entertainment and Ed Walsh, original writer of Spielberg's Catch Me If You Can.

In his arena today, Mike supervises a romantic comedy, IÕm With Stupid, in development with Rigberg/Rugolo Entertainment and a PG-13 teen horror, 10.31.20: Fear the Future, with Rob Sullivan, editor of Sam Raimi's upcoming Bogey Man and Wade Wilson, sound designer for Shrek and Shark's Tale.
